What's new? - 03 Nov
Matai has a new phrase. It is hard to hear, ('mummyspeak - meaning that being his mum helps you to hear it) and it is all run on together as if it is one word, but it was heard twice on Saturday, once when Matai was standing in the bathroom trying to find Dad and once when standing outside trying to find Grandad.
I thought I might start trying Hide and Seek to see if I can elicit more of this fun phrase.
Matai has recently moved into a big bed. Along with this transition have come shorter daytime naps. Where he used to roll over and go back to sleep in the afternoon, he is now up and awake. The outcome of this is that we have a more tired, growly little man on our hands right now - hopefully this is being saved up for his parents and won't impact others too much.
Matai was off preschool last week with an ear infection. Bleh. He has been a changed boy with the grommets in since June, and now it seems that we have lost one. So the runny nose is back for now. Will be keeping a close eye on this situation, so that there is no potential impact on his speech. :(
Edit: Two weeks later with the help of Dr Sotutu (Paed) we have found the grommet, it was actually right where it should be, we are back on track!
